Wood Samples The beauty of the wood enhanced by a fine finish is the primary decorative element of my landing nets. The contrast of colors between a dark cherry or walnut with a lighter wood such as sycamore or maple creates visual patterns to please the eye. The combinations are endless. Look through the gallery  and other pages on this website to see some ways I have used wood to form the handles and hoops of my fly fishing nets. Below are sample strips of the woods currently available. The actual appearance will be slightly different as each piece of wood will have its own unique color and grain patterns. These samples are provided for inspiration.
