Guides
  • Kevin Feenstra
Excellent guide and a fine human being. He is an outstanding guide on the Muskegon River in Michigan.
  • Glenn River
Glenn and Wayne are premiere guides on small streams in northern Ohio.
  • Andes Anglers
Gustavo Pucci and Pablo Zanatta are excellent outfitters and guides located in Patagtonia, Argentina. I had a wonderful ten day trip with them in 2007. Beautiful fish, spectacular country, and wonderful people.  If you ever get the chance, go!

Fly Shops
  • Casters Fly Fishing Shop
An all service fly shop for fly fishing supplies and trout fishing guide services located in Hickory, NC.  Dave has a Michigan connection and we have arranged for my nets to be available in this fine shop.
  • Catskill Flies
Located in Roscoe, NY this shop carries my nets as well as supplies for fly tying and fly fishing. They are also a source of clothes, antique books, and fly casting instruction. A special feature of their web site is the stream condition updates during fishing season.
  • Gates Au Sable Lodge
Rusty Gates operates the primier fly shop on the Michigan Au Sable River. In addition to flyfishing equipment (including my nets), there is a full service restaurant, lodging over looking the river, and some of the most experienced guides on the Au Sable River system. Rusty is also active in conservation efforts to protect the rivers of Northern Michigan.
  • Gallatin Riverguides
A full service fly shop with helpful and friendly staff, flyfishing gear, and guide services operating out of Big Sky, Montana.

Organizations
  • Federation of Fly Fishers Great Lakes Council
The Federation of Fly FishersTM  is dedicated to conserving, restoring and educating through Fly Fishing. The Great Lakes Council is the local group here in the Midwest. I am an active member and strong supporter of their philosophy. And what a great group of people to fish with too!
  • Michigan Fly Fishing Club
For over 30 years this Southeast Michigan club has been dedicated to all aspects of flyfishing from casting, flytying, conservation and rod building to actually fishing. A great place to learn about fishing and meet wonderful people with whom to enjoy fishing. Sponsors of the Sports Expo which I attend in March.

Specialty Supplies
  • Rite Bobbin
A small firm making a high quality fly tying bobbin. Located in Montana, if you tie your own flies, give their site a visit.
  • Bell Forest Products
Located in Ishpeming, MI, this is a great source for specialty wood products. You can order online or visit their warehouse in the beautiful Upper Peninsula.
