– Sold OutThis Tenkara style net has a 13.5 inch handle and hoop of curly Maple. I wanted to explore another shape of hoop for the Tenkara nets and I liked the look of this combination with a slightly more traditional shape to the hoop. The hoop is 10.5 x 8 inches. (about 32 inch circumference). There is a small accent segment of walnut in the handle with an accent strip of walnut in the hoop. The curly maple in this net net is almost iridescent, it glows with unusual depth.
Why the accent segment. Joining the handle and the hoop not only look visually interesting but let me choose the best parts of the lumber. I can select the best gain and avoid the defects. The net has a deep epoxy finish. The handle is finished with a custom brass eye. All of my fly fishing nets are signed and numbered.
